The Suraya Das, a theoretical physicist who is working at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and study co-author said:
“Our theory suggests that the age of the universe could by infinite”.
If this theory turns to be true, then it deflates the theory of big bang which states that the universe was once a singularity and emerged by a big bang.
The new study which is being conducted states that the universe may have no beginning at all.
What Big Bang Theory says and some flaws:
This theory states that the universe is about 13.8 billion years old and once it was an infinitely tiny, dense and hot point termed as singularity which then exploded to give birth to the early universe.
There are two mathematical equations which formulates this singularity, one is Einstein’s theory of relativity and the other one is Raychaudhuri’s equation – describes how mass warps the time-space and trajectory of mass will converge or diverge over time respectively.
But all the stuff and calculations are wrong because when formulating singularity using Einstein’s theory, the laws of physics actually break before it is reached – said by Robert Brandenberger, a theoretical cosmologist at McGill University.
Further Brandenberger said to Live Science that:
“So when we say that the universe begins with a big bang, we really have no right to say that”.
